New Website Launched

After a lot of hard work and preparation, the gallery has launched our new website at www.jnaag.ca! Visitors to the site will notice a fresh new design and modern vibe, which unveils the new look and feel of the gallery. Timing of the website launch could not be more perfect, with the Grand Opening of the gallery taking place on October 5.

Aimed at making their experience more engaging and user-friendly, visitors can now see highlights from the collection online, learn about upcoming events and exhibitions, book tours and register for programs. Gallery staff hope that the site will help boost people's on-line engagement with the gallery, and to help make the public feel more connected to our events and programming.

So check out our new website, www.jnaag.ca, and find out more about our Grand Opening Events, and register for our All About Youth Day, on Saturday, September 29! The event is open to all youth and is free.  Designed to make young people feel at home in their new gallery, the event will feature awesome and creative hands on activities that tap into the imaginative mood of Ben Skinners exhibition, SOMETHING HAD TO BE DONE.

Two events are scheduled for our All About Youth Day:  The 'Tween' event is for ages 7 - 12, and will be taking place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The 'Teen' event, for ages  13 - 18 year will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required for these events, and you can do so by visiting the website, or calling 519 336 8127 ext. 3220.

Our Grand Opening will be taking place on October 5, starting at 6:00 pm, as part of downtown Sarnia's First Friday events. Lochiel Street will be closed to traffic and under a giant tent, bands including Lake Effect, Marty O'Black, and the Sun Parlour Players will play, sponsored by Paddy Flaherty's Irish Pub in Sarnia.  Inside the gallery, visitors will be able to tour the opening exhibitions with volunteers ready to engage guests and answer questions about the art. The first 500 visitors to the gallery will receive a limited edition wristband designed by Ben Skinner, one of the artists featured in the gallery's opening exhibitions.
