Lots To See and Do This Holiday Weekend

The gallery will be open the following hours over the  Civic Holiday Weekend:

Saturday, August 3 - 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
Sunday, August 4 - 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
Holiday Monday, August 5 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.


We have tons of fun free activities taking place this weekend including:

Let's Talk About It - A Suicide Awareness Event 
In Partnership with the Sarnia-Lambton Suicide Prevention Youth Committee
Saturday, August 3 - 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Let's Talk About It, is a collaborative event between the JNAAG and the Sarnia-Lambton Youth Suicide Prevention Committee. Three youth representatives will be on hand to discuss their experiences with the committee, why they chose to get involved, and to share what programs and resources are available to the general public through the organization.

The event will also feature a talk and book signing by local author Laura Persichetti, whose book, Discover You, Discovering the World: Confessions of a Travelling Monkette, reached #1 Best Seller in the Amazon mental health section. Family Sunday Art Drop-in - Paper Lanterns Sunday, August 4 - 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Just in time for those long summer nights, you can create your own beautiful paper lantern using popsicle sticks and tissue paper. We will provide an LED light to make your evenings glow.  A great decoration for your summer BBQ!


Holiday Monday Arty Party!Monday, August 5 - 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Driftwood Sailboats & Butterfly Pop-Bottles
Set sail this holiday Monday by creating your own miniature sailboat or floating raft, from pieces of recycled driftwood. Using recycled pop bottles we will also be designing sun-catching butterflies. A beautiful and decorative piece to hang in your window.

Monday, August 5 will be you last chance to catch Blackwater Ophelia by Adad Hannah before the exhibition closes. Curator Lisa Daniels will be on hand to lead an up-close exhibition tour at 2:00 pm on August 5.
