During Art's Birthday Laura and Ian broadcast new electronic music from 2PM to midnight EST, using handmade software for audio sampling/mixing and generating rhythmic textures with altered guitar and analog feedback systems.

During the broadcast, Laura made new compositions using a custom MAX/MSP software instrument, live sampling vocals and transforming samples she recorded of her piano improvisations. Local collaborators and visitors worked at a sound table where drawing gestures and percussive sounds were amplified and sent to the mix, and incoming audio streams from the international Art's Birthday community were sampled and transformed.

Alcove Installations
Installation has begun on the three generative pieces that will be on display in the second floor alcoves beside the reception desk.
Entitled <building> 147 Lochiel , the installation will feature spheres that are in constant motion, revealing new colours and patterns in their movement. As a result of the works' continually generative nature, the possible colour and shape combinations are essentially infinite.
