A HUGE Thank-you to our Volunteers!

Now that the gallery is fully in operation, with exhibitions and programs open to the public, we would like to extend a HUGE thank-you to all of our wonderful volunteers for all of their hard work and support during our opening events and previews.

One last volunteer meeting before opening our doors to the public for the first time! And what a great night it was.

One of our fantastic volunteer docents during the public opening on October 5, ready to provide visitors information about the exhibitions and artists.

With a dedicated volunteer core of around 60 people, including docents, gallery animators, hospitality and special events helpers, our opening events ran quite smoothly. Many volunteers have been attending training sessions, lectures and courses for months, in preparation for the gallery opening its doors to the public. So again a big thank-you for those of you who haven given your time to the gallery! It is very much appreciated.

With the gallery open for regular public hours, we have identified a need for  additional volunteer hosts, docents and gallery animators. The hosts would be welcoming visitors into the gallery, providing an orientation to the building and answering any questions the public may have. If you would like more information about the volunteer positions available, please visit http://jnaag.ca/support/volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Kirsten at 519 336-8127 ext. 3225.
