This past weekend, the gallery was a flurry of activity in preparation for three special events that took place over the weekend. On Friday September 21, we welcomed our first guests with a Dignitary Reception, the gallery's first
official opening event! Guests included M.P. Patricia Davidson, M.P.P. Bob
Bailey, Lambton County Warden Steve Arnold, and generous donors Judith and
Norman Alix. Remarks from honoured guests spoke to the dedication
and generosity that went into the project, as well to the gallery itself, offering our community a local, regional and national arts scene to be proud of.

Artist Adad Hannah speaks to guests about his exhibition, The Diversions
On Sunday, participants and volunteers of the Adad Hannah Project were invited to take part in an artist talk and exhibition preview with Adad about his work, The Diversions.
Between 2010 and 2012, Adad made multiple visits to Sarnia Lambton, investigating the community, presenting talks, making school visits, screening models and building and producing the work. Over the course of his visits, Hannah worked with over forty youth and twenty local artists, volunteers and gallery staff in the production of The Diversions.

To see Adad's display, or our other fabulous opening exhibitions, join us for our Grand Opening, taking place Friday October 5 at 6:00 pm, during downtown Sarnia's First Friday cultural walkabout!
