Roll up your sleeves and explore the basics of drawing! All skill levels welcome.
Surrounded and inspired by works from our current exhibitions, Curiouser & Curiouser and Moonlit Mystics, this five week drop-in course offers participants a relaxed, social approach to learning and improving on one’s artistic technique. Feel free to attend one or each of the sessions.
Local artist and instructor Mary Groombridge will join us every other session to introduce students to a range of techniques in drawing, as well as different application methods to develop an awareness of line, volume and form. Customized feedback will be provided based on your skill level. Then apply the skills you have learned the previous week in an open studio type session.
Materials such as drawings boards, easels, erasers, drawing pencils, and drawing paper are included in the drop-in price. Students will also have the option of purchasing quality drawing materials including sketchbooks ($10.00) and drawing pencils ($12.00).
