The JNAAG's Art & Ideas Lecture Series,
generously sponsored by CI Investments, provides an opportunity for visitors to
get inside the mind of visiting artists and guest curators, and open
connections to art and culture never thought possible!
Presentations explore
exhibitions, new ideas and concepts, or individual works of art. They offer the gallery an opportunity to
invite professionals from across the country and in some cases across the
world, to share their experience with the community. Admission to any of the talks and screenings is always free and everyone is welcome!
Upcoming Art & Ideas talks and screenings include:
James Kirkpatrick: Circuit Bending
In conjunction with his exhibition entitled, Sculpting Sound, London based artist James Kirkpatrick returns to Sarnia to speak about his work and artistic process. In his presentation, Kirkpatrick will talk about the use of electricity in art, what circuit bending is, and how he creates a sound sculpture. Through the talk, both audience and Kirkpatrick will explore ideas of how sound is art.
