Wow! We had a fantastic Family Day here at the galley! Close to 400 visitors and families came through the door to see our current exhibitions, visit the MC Escher Activity Centre, and participate in the fabulous art activities.

The Painted Cat provided Escher Themed face painting
Families enjoyed the opening of the Escher Activity Centre, located on the Third Floor
Participants worked on Escher themed art activities and a GIANT Snakes and Ladders board.
Families joined together to create collaborative community mosaic which was transformed into
a stop motion animation.
Visit the Escher Acitivty Centre, located on the third floor, as part of our current exhibition, MC Escher: The Mathemagician, organized by the National Gallery of Canada and the Art Gallery of Alberta. The Activity Centre features a wide-range of Escher themed activities, including Barrel of Monkeys, wooden tessellating blocks, interactive tessellation iPad apps, colouring exercises influenced and a video and tactile centre.
